    A genuine wine masterclass from a genuine wine legend.

    Sue Bell is one of Australia’s most admired winemakers, she regularly judges at wine shows around the country and was awarded Dux at the prestigious Len Evens tutorial.

    Sue will be running a range of masterclasses, celebrating some favourites and some misunderstood wine varietals, with something for everyone.

    Masterclasses include a Cool Climate Shiraz Masterclass, the Chardy Party Masterclass, and the Something a Little bit Different Masterclass.

    We’re taking that to the next level and opening the whole site on Friday night so we can show you all the great local wines we have available.
    In fact we want to show you the wines so much that the first three wine tastings are on us!

    We’ll have wine experts and makers talking about the wines, and tastings are available all night.

    It’s your chance to have a sneak peak of the festival site and have a drink on us.

    Comedy in the Vines is proud to present the World Premiere of In The Wine of Fire, a collaboration between pitmaster Adam Roberts and Grapes of Mirth. Adam has authored many barbecue books and is Australia’s leading pitmaster, he is bringing down his huge custom-made beast of a barbecue for its second-ever outing (it was first seen at VIVID Sydney this year). Adam will be showcasing a range of different meats and techniques, in a truly unique al fresco barbecue degustation on the banks of the Goulburn River, with matching wines provided by our host with the most, Mez. There are only 80 tickets available for the feast so get in quick.

We love it so much we’ve created a whole bar dedicated to it. With six different Nagambie rieslings to choose from, you’ll be shooting these beauties all day.

    Mez will take you on a 45-minute wine flight, where you will taste four different varietals, handpicked by Merrick. Each wine comes with jokes and a bit of wine knowledge, you may learn something along the way, but we promise that is entirely accidental.

    Either the greatest or the worst idea we’ve ever had. At 11 am on Sunday morning, Merrick is leading a 5km run through the incredibly picturesque Mitchleton vines. At every 1km marker, we will be pouring a small taste of delicious Nagambie wine to keep you going. By the end of the run, we can guarantee you’ll be ready to sit down (and enjoy a day of comedy). Many comedians have indicated they will join in this run, however, they are not contractually obliged so we’ll see the true legends on the start line.
