Comedy in the Vines is an outdoor festival held across orchard grounds and includes a combination of compacted gravel paths and grass surfaces.
While we work to improve access each year, some areas may be uneven and site conditions can vary depending on weather.
Companion Card & Support People
Comedy in the Vines accepts Companion Cards.
Patrons who require an essential support person can access a companion ticket at no additional cost by providing their companion cardholder details and showing their card on entry to the festival.
To arrange companion access, please contact us via email before or after purchasing tickets and we’ll assist with the process.
Arriving at the Festival
Accessible Parking
Accessible parking spaces are available close to the festival entrance.
Accessible parking is located less than 30 metres from entry where possible.
Availability is limited and we recommend arriving early.
Accessible Drop-Off Zone
A dedicated passenger drop-off and pick-up area is available close to the entrance for patrons who require a shorter distance to travel.
Shuttle Transport
Festival transfer services are available.
Please note: festival shuttle vehicles are not wheelchair accessible.
If you require accessible transport options, contact us prior to the event and we’ll provide information to help plan your arrival.
Moving Around the Site
Comedy in the Vines takes place outdoors across orchard grounds.
Site Surfaces
- Main circulation areas include compacted gravel paths
- Access to bars, food vendors, parking and toilets does not require travelling across grass
- Large areas of the festival remain grass underfoot
- Terrain may become softer or uneven in wet weather
We recommend suitable footwear for outdoor conditions.
The Other Stage
The Other Stage is located on grass and access to this area is via grass.
Patrons using mobility aids or who have reduced mobility are encouraged to contact us ahead of time so we can discuss options.
Seating & Viewing
Comedy in the Vines includes a mix of seated and picnic-style viewing areas.
Dedicated accessible viewing spaces will be available for patrons who require them.
Accessible viewing spaces include companion seating and are designed to provide an enjoyable festival experience while remaining integrated into the audience environment.
Wheelchair users and patrons with accessibility requirements are welcome throughout the venue.
Please note that while the VIP seating area is accessible, dedicated accessible toilets are located within the main public festival area rather than inside VIP area.
If you require accessible viewing, companion seating, mobility support or other seating assistance, please contact us before attending so we can help plan your visit.

The festival will include:
- 1 accessible toilet
- 2 ambulant toilets
Accessible toilet locations will be shown on site signage.
Water Stations
Free water refill stations are available throughout the venue.
Food & Dietary Options
All food vendors can be reached via accessible paths.
A range of dietary options will be available. More information will be released closer to the event.
Hearing & Communication
All performances use amplified sound and microphones.
At this stage, Comedy in the Vines will not provide:
- live captioning
- open captions
- Auslan interpretation
- hearing augmentation systems

Sensory & Wellbeing
Comedy in the Vines recognises that festivals can be stimulating environments.
To support different access needs we will provide:
- complimentary earplugs
- re-entry to the festival
Patrons are welcome to bring noise-reducing headphones and personal sensory supports.
