    JEN BRISTER (UK)

We’re thrilled to have Jen travelling to Australia to perform exclusively at Comedy in the Vines.
Jen is one of the most in demand comedians in the world right now, she’s been seen on a plethora of UK panel shows, and clips of her appearances on Live at The Apollo regularly rack up tens of millions of views. Her furiously funny comedy will resonate with the Comedy in the Vines crowd, and we can’t wait to show her how good comedy shows at wineries can be.

  • JOEL CREASEY

    JOEL CREASEY

    JOEL CREASEY

Joel is one of the busiest people in Australian showbiz, in 2024 so far, he’s been on countless TV shows, hosting a daily national radio show, and Sydney Mardi-Gras, he’s also been narrating The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and touring extensively for good measure. To be honest, we were surprised when he was available for Comedy in the Vines, but we couldn’t be happier that he is. His charm and quick wit are perfect for our stage, a guaranteed good time.

  • MEL BUTTLE

    MEL BUTTLE

    MEL BUTTLE

Mel is the comedian all other comedians want to be best friends with, to TikTok and Instagram she’s the iconic Queensland Mum, she’s a regular on The Project, The Hundred, Have You Been Paying Attention?, and was a contestant on Taskmaster this year, but on stage is where you see the very best of Mel.
Mel’s set will undoubtedly be a highlight of the whole weekend.

    MERRICK WATTS

    MERRICK WATTS

As ever we will be keeping the Grapes of Mirth head clown busy, he will be hosting wine masterclasses, barbecue feasts, a wine run, and appearing alongside Ethan and Sweeney. If you make it through the weekend without seeing him somewhere we’ll be impressed.

    LLOYD LANGFORD (UK)

    LLOYD LANGFORD (UK)

One of Wales’ funniest men is now a regular on the Australian small screen on shows like Have You Been Paying Attention?, Thank God You’re Here, Spicks and Specks, and was the winner of Tom Gleeson’s head on Taskmaster. On stage his laconic delivery belies his quick, sharp comedy, there won’t be a glum face in the house after Lloyd’s set.

  • DAVE THORNTON

    DAVE THORNTON

    Dave Thornton

Thorno is one of the very best comedians in the country and a natural fit to take on MC duties for the start of Comedy in the Vines, he loves comedy, he loves wine, the glove fits! He will also be trying every single wine at the festival which is why we can’t ask him to host the later slots, it wouldn’t be pretty.

  • LUKE HEGGIE

    LUKE HEGGIE

    LUKE HEGGIE

All pure comedy fans love Luke Heggie, the only reasonable critique of his relentless style is that you don’t have time to finish laughing before Luke moves on to the next target in his crosshairs. A relentless gigger who regularly adds so many shows in the Melbourne Comedy Festival that he ends up doing four-five hour long shows in a day. Pay attention to Luke’s set, the words hit like poetry in motion, and you won’t want to miss a beat of it.

  • GILLIAN COSGRIFF

Hoops won the Piece of Wood award at the 2024 Melbourne Comedy Festival, the award given out by a panel of comedians, the only surprise is that she hasn’t won it already! We’ve got Hoops hosting the second half of Saturday’s festivities, because one on stage appearance simply isn’t enough!

  • LOU WALL

    LOU WALL

    LOU WALL

Over the last four years Lou’s shows have been recognised for their genre-bending, politically savvy comedy, and garnered critical acclaim, including a nomination for best show at this year’s Melbourne Comedy Festival. They have been described by UK comedy website Chortle as ‘the voice of a generation’ and a recent Age review describes their show as ‘sublime comedy… believe the hype’. We couldn’t agree more and can’t wait to introduce Lou Wall to the Comedy in the Vines / Grapes of Mirth audience for the first time.
